A Christian Dad, drummer, addiction counselor, hockey fan, chess-player reflects on the Christian walk, with the hopes of: A) enticing those who are considering spiritual matters to look at Jesus, and B) Sounding a gong of recognition with fellow believers.

I dont' quite understand what the verse means, would be so kind to explain it ?
I really like the Ecclesiastes commentary found here:
http://www.gracenotes.info/ecclesiastes/ecc17.html
However, I believe that scripture often means more than one thing. The above commentary may be dead on. The verse reminded me of 2 things:
A) when Moses saw God, his face beamed with radiance as a result
B) when Jesus was transfigured, His face also shone brightly
So to me, being in the presence of God the heavenly Father, and all His awesome Wisdom has the effect of causing those in His presence to beam.
Even if this verse does not explicitly refer to Jesus, I don't think there's any question that He is a wiseman, who knows the interpretation of EVERY matter. The closer we get to God, and the more we align our thinking with His wisdom, the more we shine His light.
